PodSpot #33 - Low-code, no-code and HubSpot

In episode 33 of PodSpot, the UK's only HubSpot themed podcast, host Matt Wood catapults himself into the technical world of low-code and no-code technology. Joined by Karman Digital's very own Jaime Boardman and industry veteran Jason McFeetors, the trio cover everything from emerging industry technology to no-code & low-code empowerment on HubSpot.

Starting with the foundations, Jason gives listeners a comprehensive definition of low and no-code technology, describing them as umbrella terms for tools that allow users to build out extensions and automations, using little to no web-coding.

The show then takes a turn towards HubSpot, when the trio discuss open API infrastructure and how companies harness low & no-code technologies to enhance their HubSpot operations.

We are often quizzed on the ''low-code" platform  Zapier by clients already using the tool for their integrations. Matt asked the pair for their thoughts on it, and whether it can truly be considered a no/low-code tool. It depends what you are using it for, but the truth is that platforms like Zapier walked so newer platforms like N8N could run!

Can anyone pick up no/low-code? The answer is similarly nuanced, as it depends on what you are attempting, but it's certainly true that the rise of this technology has empowered those who don't necessarily need a technical background to make an impact, according to Jason.

This show gives the listener a good insight into the continued development of automation tech. Jason has been working on an automation tool that activates a task using smart voice activation. Simply speak the automation you desire into your Google Hub or Alexa and see the automation come to life.

He's not the only one who has been busy, Jaime has recently been working on intricate workflow automations for clients, helping them harness the power of HubSpot and of course has plenty of work in the pipeline.
